Week #83.....Forgive and Forget

Hey y’all peeps,

This week was great. We baptized Edgar and ate at chilies. (What more could a missionary ask for). Edger is super cool and has a bunch of faith. He seriously is lit! He will be a great member!!. Changes were yesterday. I am staying yet another change in Las Golondrinas, Escuintla. I like it here so I don’t complain. BTW the burger I ate at chilies was a mango bacon burger. hashtag it was good. Like super good. Mangos are good, but sometimes the stringy stuff gets stuck in between your teeth and you be picking it out all day, and your hands get sticky and its just a big mess but again hashtag it was good. I can’t find the hashtag key LOL. And haha I do not know what I am talking about..

But good week!

Spiritual thought. Christ willingly forgives. But do we forgive ourselves. That’s an important thing to do. Forgive and Forget.

I love you guys.

Week #82.....You never know if you will be the difference!

Hey what’s up team!

This week was great! We had an AWESOME baptism on Sunday! We baptized the bishops mom! She is super cool. She was a little tough at first but due to family prayed she opened right up and accepted baptism. She is widowed so in a year she will be able to be sealed to her husband! Also this little guy is Pablito he isn’t a convert just an 8 year old ward baptism. But he asked me to baptism him and I gladly accepted. Boy, God is blessing this area right now. He puts people right in our path so that they can receive salvation. I know that this is Gods work and not mine. The success is all his. I have done nothing. How can I say I have if I use his power and authority to do his work. I love that I can be a tool (maybe just some flat head screwdriver that looks useless) in Gods hands. Elder Jacob and I are working as hard as we can to see miracles.

I Love being a Missionary.

Spiritual thought ALMA 37:10 And who knoweth but what they will be the means of bringing many thousands of them— yea, and also many thousands of our stiffnecked brethren, the Nephites, which are now hardening their hearts in sins and iniquities— to the knowledge of their Redeemer.

You never know if you will be the difference!

I love you ALL!!

Week #81.......18 Investigators...WOW

Hey People!!

This week was great; we had a few baptisms, which is always exciting! I love working with Elder Jacob. Also I had divisions on Tuesday of last week with my boy Elder Marler. It was super sick and we saw some member’s parrots. This week we worked super hard and saw a lot of success. In church we had 18 investigators attending. It was so sick. And the total attendance was 87 so a lot of the people that were there were investigators. SO SICK. and my companion is super old in the mission and goes home in 99 days haha. So yesterday we bought ice cream to celebrate his feat. lol. All is good here in las golondrinas.

Spiritual thought. Nevertheless, they did fast and pray oft, and did wax stronger and stronger in their humility and firmer and firmer in the faith of Christ, unto the filling their souls with joy and consolation, yea, even to the purifying and the sanctification of their hearts, which sanctification cometh because of their yielding their hearts unto God. – Helaman 3:35

As members of the church, the individual goal for each one of us is to become purified and sanctified. According to this scripture, this happens through prayer, fasting, humility and faith in the Christ. Becoming truly sanctified like the Savior requires His atonement. In your moments of struggle and trial remember that it is in these moments that you are becoming sanctified.

LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!!

Week #80 ....White out!!

Hey!

This week we had a WHITE OUT here in the ward. It was so sick we were able to baptize 6 people on Sunday. It felt so good! Other than that brief time baptizing in freezing cold water, it was pretty hot. Also we went to the temple on p-day so that was so sweet. WE bowled a little too. (I got a turkey) but then I left the next two frames open destroying my score. But it was a great week and we had a bunch of fun!!!! I love missionary work!!!

Spiritual thought - Lately we have been getting a lot of contention from evangelical pastors. I don’t like contending, it is of the devil. But I always stand up and defend my beliefs; there is a difference between the two. The pastors always tell us that we believe in Joseph Smith and that he is our God and that in our church we only pray to him and worship him. (Which is funny because they have never gone to church or listened to missionaries how do they know what we believe. anyway I love reading them 2 Nephi 25:26

And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins.

Love You!

Week #79 .....The Lord lives and loves us

Hey guys! This week was great!!!

We are currently working super hard to help our investigators get baptized on Sunday. If all works out we should see 6 people walk into the waters of baptism this week. This mission is passing by very fast for my companion and I. The days fly by and we have such full schedules that there isn’t enough time to do everything. I love it like that. It’s just a reminder that the Lord Lives and works by us side by side and prepare people. It just fascinating to me that these areas have been open for 10 years and everyday the missionaries have walked the same streets and knocked the same doors, yet there are always new people to teach and to talk to.

Spiritual Thought -This week I learned a personal lesson about how imperfect I am and we are as people and missionaries. I know that perfection is the goal. And even though we fall WELL SHORT. The Lord has mercy upon us if we have sincere desires to be better. I know that the Lord lives and loves us.

I love the mission and I am having too much fun doing the Lords work!!

Love you all
