Week #88 ....Ask people if they need help!

Hey people!

This week was fun like always. We found a little girl named mayli pronounced miley and she is 8 and is a granddaughter of some members. She is super awesome and taught us the first vision. She is super smart and will be getting baptized on Sunday!! Also this will most likely be my last week here in Golondrinas as a zone leader. This past year or so being a zone leader has taught me a ton! We will see what changes have in store for me!!

Funny story! This week there was a crazy dude on his roof hitting some brick with a machete. haha He was trying to hit the bricks just right so that he could place them in a weird looking star shape on his roof and we walk by and started talking to him and all he said was are you guys going to help me or not?? We said yeah and he said well then come up here. And haha I have no idea how this guy got up there. There were no trees or ladders or windows or nothing he just scaled the side apparently. and then he started yelling at us that we needed to help him haha. So we tried to climb up on the roof to help this guy and I found some brick so I went over and tried pulling myself up I pulled a bunch of the brick down. haha they were not cemented on haha and I fell and the whole street laughed lol. That’s all
Moral of the story you gotta ask people if they need help.

Love you all

Week #87.....Rain Rain Rain

Hey!

This week it rained a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But it’s all good. We baptized Jamie and it was sweet!!! We have been super tired this whole week; it’s been a crazy one. I was making some eggs and out popped two yolks. We are on a 48-egg streak of two yolks. I don’t know what’s happening to these chickens down here…. LOL. I went to Antigua on my P-Day, and visited a convert maybe for the last time….it was fun. I took pictures of some paintings that they have here. Transfers are in a couple of weeks and there is word that I might go back to the first zone I was in when I started the Mission, Jocotillo. It’s in the mountains but located in a capital zone. I love the mountain zones but this place is literally an hour and a half from any other missionaries and food, this is a ROUGH place, but I guess if they send me back its for something that the Lord needs my help with.

Spiritual Thought - We all have something that limits our excellence in the gospel. We need to find out what that is, and make it better so that we may thrive,

Love you guys

Week #86.....LDS Conference

LDS CONFERENCE -

I don’t have words to describe what I felt as we sustained President Nelson in solemn assembly. Wow just wow!

I loved conference it was awesome we sat and watched it in English ha-ha I love English. I loved the focus that they gave on the spirit and serving others. Also on repentance and forgiveness. What an amazing message.

This week was crazy there was nobody at home or in the street? Everyone went to the beach and we struggled to find people to teach. But everyone is back now.

A regular one hour long bus ride to do interviews in Puerto San Jose took us 4 hours do to traffic. And the area is right on the beach so it was PACKED!!!

Shout out to Elder Echohawk and elder Massimo De Feo with the best names in the conference. And also to Elder Lynn G Robbins (or robinson, the names always go by too fast to write them down.) I loved how he said that forgiveness has no limit. 7x 7 = infinity (if we have sincere desires)

I love you all

Week #85....Happy Easter ...#becauseofhim

Hey !!

This week was great. This week we will start Semana Santa. (Holy Week) so pretty much that means that everyone goes to the beach and there is nobody to talk to. This is defiantly the hardest week to be a missionary in Guatemala. Literally there will be nobody in the street or at home. Wish us luck. But we sure are excited for the general conference. It will be great!!! This week we found a cool and interesting investigator. His name is Roberto, he is 10, and his mom is a less active member. He is deaf and he knows very little sign language. So we have been using the charade game hahaha. We kind of just use pictures and act stuff out. His mom communicates with him just by pointing to stuff and he then says yes or no. But when we try with gospel stuff he literally says nothing.... we are going to need to think of a better way to teach him lol Below are some pictures of how cashews grow. Yes that’s on a fruit. (Gross by the Way) and me with my tennis shoes. …They are holey and then me with some fellow gringos.

Spiritual thought. The Language of the gospel is the spirit. Not English or Spanish or sign language, but the spirit.

I love you all. Happy Easter.

Week #84 .....Virtue is measured

Hey people!!!

This week was cool. We got rain on hard core everything is super wet. Not really that much to tell this week. Everything is lit!!!! We took some pictures during p-day because it was raining and we didn’t want to go get wet! This next week will be Semana Santa. Semana Santa is holy week. It’s the week leading up to Easter. On Friday the Catholic have a huge celebration and remember the death of the Savior!!! It gets so crazy here hahaha So everything is going to get NUTS here in Guatemala!!!!

Spiritual thought - Virtue is measured by what we do and think when we suppose that nobody is watching us!!!

I love you guys
